Rodin - Genius at Work
Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) is the greatest sculptor of modern times. This exhibition showed more than 140 small and large sculptures and 20 works on paper. Not only the idealised forms of the human body in Rodin’s work were on display, also their creation process. On the bases of plaster and bronze sculptures, among which famous works as The Thinker and Balzac, marble figures, ceramics, and photographs that were never on view before, his manufacturing process was extensively illustrated.
