More than 200 works by members of the De Ploeg artists’ collective will visit four German towns in the travelling exhibition Avantgarde in den Niederlanden – Die expressionistische Künstlergruppe “De Ploeg” (Avant-Garde in the Netherlands – The Expressionist Artists of De Ploeg). It's an ideal opportunity for German audiences to get to know beloved Groningen artists like Jan Altink, Johan Dijkstra, Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman, Alida Pott and Jan Wiegers. The exhibition is curated in partnership with the Groninger Museum. The local heroes will return to Groningen in mid-2024.
